Samsung's new i200 smartphone, with the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS has been released at last - a device for all-business users, very capable as far as email, documents and connectivity options go. Specs include a 2.3” screen, 2mp camera, HSDPA, Bluetooth, and the usual array of Microsoft Office applications. It has a light sensor similar to that of Nokia smartphones, adjusting the display and keypad backlighting accordingly, to save power. Unfortunately, for this mid-end smartphone, Wi-Fi is not incorporated.

The i200 will arrive in Europe this June.

All-touchscreen handset from Phillips in the works?    [ 07-05-2008 20:38 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: intomobile     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

PC World China alleges that Phillips is working on an iPhone-like touchscreen-only handset.

Apparently, the still unannounced Xenium X800 will come equipped with the e2e design, which basically means that the touchscreen stretches from one end of the handset to the other – I.e. no boarders at the edge.

Details of the handset are thin on the ground at the moment, but the X800 should have a WQVGA screen, and a high capacity battery.
