Rumours of Blackberry's upcoming 9000 handset have been floating around for some time. So, today, we bring you what should pretty much be the final feature set. It will boast quad band GSM connectivity, coupled with HSDPA support. As always, it will have a trackball navigation pad. The 9000 will sport a two megapixel camera, which should be adequate for most. The display will sport the resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.
Of course, Wi-Fi is present – with a, b, and g support. GPS support in on-board too – in the form of Assisted GPS. Battery life is more than adequate, thanks to a meaty 1500 mAh battery. US network operator AT&T will launch the device first, followed shortly by Vodafone, and Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo.

BenQ are set to release a new, affordable music phone, which looks quite the part, later this month. Spec-wise,it's not going to win phone of the year, but, then, not everyone needs top-of-the-range handsets. The C36 will sport a 1.3 megapixel camera, which can double-up as a webcam, FM Radio, 2” screen, and Micro SD card slot. In terms of battery life, you should expect approximately 2.4 hours of talk time, and 180 hours on standby.
In terms of extra applications, the C36 has a voice notes app, and a health management app – to keep the user in shape. The C36 will hit Indonesia later this month, with other markets to follow thereafter.

It's well known that Apple don't want Java on the platform, period, no matter how badly Sun want to implement it on the iPhone. Sun are still tryiing though, and don't look to be giving up anytime soon. They, along with Apple, want to build a Java Virtual Machine for Apple's iPhone, but Apple want none of it thus far. There is an application to convert Java apps to iPhone-native apps, but this isn't all that practical of an approach. Some people want Java on the iPhone, but apparently Apple don't.
