3G and GPS confirmed for new iPhone    [ 08-06-2008 13:35 ]

After many rumors speculating what the new features the new Apple iPhone will have, we can now confirm it will sport arguably the two most requested features: GPS, and 3G. All thanks to a leaked version of the upcoming device's firmware. Looking through the firmware, we know it should have quad-band GSM support, Assisted-GPS, and, finally, tri-band HSDPA support. Just about every important feature current iPhone owners want, besides an upgraded camera, and native support for video recording. You can expect the new iPhone to come with higher capacity memory than the current iPhone too.
