Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta to see release only on Windows Mobile for now    [ 08-07-2008 23:54 ]

Author: Klimov Oleg     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

The beta version of Opera Mobile 9.5 is set for release (you can learn more about it in one of our previous posts) on Windows Mobile devices next week, while Symbian handsets, it would seem, have been shafted. Quite an odd decision, being as, in no uncertain terms, Symbian is the more popular of the two. Then again, Opera Mobile 9.5 is a very touch-centric browser, and Symbian handsets with a touchscreen are sparse. The following is an extract from the Opera Mobile blog:

“We do not yet know when the Symbian version will be ready because development and quality assurance on mobile devices is time consuming. In the meantime Opera Mini is a great alternative for Symbian users. On July 15th, we’ll release that first beta for Windows Mobile.”

Coin-sized Celleden headset debuts    [ 08-07-2008 18:09 ]

Author: Irina Turina   Source: Pocket-lint     Translation by: Administrator    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Celleden has released an incredibly small Bluetooth headset in the United Kingdom - weighing a measly 6.5 grams, or, for a visual comparison, it's no larger than a twenty pence piece. Small electrical items tend to catch on fast, this should be no exception.

Because of its size, talk and standby time can't measure up to normal sized headsets - at four hours talktime, and fifty hours on standyby, at the standard ten metre range. It's available in black or white now, priced at £30/$60SD/€38.
