Author: Irina Turina   Source: IntoMobile     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Mozilla is said to be working on a mobile version of Mozilla Firefox browser. Mitchell Baker, head of Mozilla Foundation, told that the company is working on a Firefox to go mobile, it’s a long-term project meaning it’s not coming out any time soon. According to Mitchell Baker, the goal is to allow it to work with all the add-ons and plug-ins that the full version works with. This isn’t an easy task taking into account the small screen of mobile devices and the fact that web-content is getting constantly complicated.

At the same time Minimo isn’t an official project of Mozilla Foundation. The work on Mobile Mozilla Firefox has just started and the company hasn’t provided any details on the project, including the release date.
