Clothing company, Express, is leaping on the iPod accessory bandwagon with this jacket. The Play List Jacket is a pretty simple jacket that includes an inside pocket for the iPod and fabric buttons to control the iPod. This jacket will be hitting Express Men stores this month for $248. Now, this begs two questions: how much would the jacket cost without the iPod pocket and who would actually wear it?
Currently, the cheapest jacket on the Express site is $148. So it could be said that this iPod pocket and fabric buttons tack on an extra $100, at most, which is really not worth it given that most jackets already have an inside pocket. Oh, and about who would wear it.

Samsung's latest high density 'moviNANDTM' memory solution consists of four 50-nanometer, 16Gigabit NAND flash memories, a high-speed MultiMediaCard (MMC) controller and associated firmware. This is enough to store up to 2,000 songs or enough map data to implement GPS and points of interest for the entire western world! In addition, it can also be used with removable media cards to permit virtually unlimited memory expansion.
Also, intriguingly, the company states: "Because Samsung's moviNAND allows NAND flash to be instantly accessed through a standardized MMC interface, manufacturers who use the new memory solution can develop mobile phones more quickly and at less cost than with raw MLC NAND components soldered into a handset." So get ready for some major jumps in handset memory, greater expandability and reduced prices.
If this wasn't enough the new modules also double the capacity and double the performance of the previous 4GB version with the ability to process data at a cracking 52MBps. It is also 10 to 20 per cent smaller than other flash-based embedded memory card solutions – so mobiles will get even thinner and lighter too.

Recently the Web got another portoin of leaked info, this time around on BenQ and its preparations for the release of the first own branded UMPC device, that will be a nice addition to its Joybook series of laptops. No word on specifications or any other kind of details, but according to DigiTimes the launch of this ultra-mobile computer is scheduled for 4Q of 2007.
Thus BenQ will join the cohort of UMPC makers, that already include such manufacturers as Samsung and ASUS. Regrettably, it is impossible to say for sure whether this UMPC will turn out to be like those offerings released in 2006, or something a tad more offbeat, like the new models of ultra-mobile computers that saw release eariler this year.
