According to the Gadgetress, Motorola rolled out its i425 phone for the American operator Boost Mobile. The source reports that the device is slim enough – 12.7 mm. This is the world slimmest walkie-talkie handset. It supports AOL, Yahoo and MSN messengers, voice dial, speakerphone, GPS. Motorola i425 weighs some 110 g.

The peculiar thing about it is that the shell is made of ecological stuff: 100% recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate material. Besides it involves secondary processed materials. Motorola i425 will come out this fall at the approximate price of $60.

LG-KU990 (Viewty) officially    [ 21-08-2007 09:45 ]

Author: Serge Novikov     Translation by: Rytchkova Anja    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Today LG Electronics unveiled its LG-KU990 handset with a 5.1-megapixel camera. We’ve recently mentioned it.

Nicknamed Viewty it is, in fact, an heir of LG KE850 (Prada) with advanced lens and same touch sensitive display and control. Being improved the new Prada or Viewty got a look of an ordinary digital camera than a phone. We’ve likely face a kind of term confusion in reviews when talking about the front panel: the one with the display (phones) or the one with the camera lens and flash (cameras).

LG-KU990 will be launched in October 2007 in Europe and exhibited at IFA 2007 show in Berlin (from August 31 on).

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified Nokia N95 8GB smartphone and posted related documents on its site. Given it design has been somewhat changed. As expected the smartphone is black colored, its media buttons are slightly lifted upon the shell, control buttons on the front panel are smaller compared to the previous model, being modified the rear panel got the sliding camera cover. The main spec of Nokia N95 8GB remained the same as in the original model: GSM/EDGE support, 3G and HSDPA (2100 MHz), a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, TV-out and so on, except for the internal memory size, which grew to 8GB.

The FCC manual gives some interesting info on the software of Nokia N95 8GB. Well, it mentions the support of Nokia Music Store (music online store to be launched soon) and N-Gage game console. Besides you can use Windows Media Player to transfer media from PC to the smartphone.
