Five new low-end Motorola handsets with an FM-receiver    [ 20-06-2006 18:15 ]

Author: Serge Novikov     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

At the current CommunicAsia 2006 in Singapore Motorola has said it would apply all efforts to connect another billion of users to cell networks and it introduced five low-end models – two clamshells – the W220, W375 and three handsets in classical candy bar form – the W208 (GSM), W170 (GSM) and W210 (CDMA). According to the company these models will enable a cheap mobile start for not well-to-do users. This is very important for developing countries, where a cell phone is a luxury stuff. All the phones feature long battery life and an FM-receiver. They will be available in the second half this year.

Author: Klimov Oleg   Source: dapreview     Translation by:    Send news to friend  Discuss in forum

Very often PMP devices (Personal Media Player) feature high functionality, so they can replace many products at once. The new PMP called Wixzer WXP350 is powered by Windows CE 5.0.

A 4” touchscreen LCD, 20 (30) GB HDD, a 1.3-megapixel CMOS-camera, USB-host function, a Li-Pol battery, which ensures 6 hours of video playback and 10 hours of audio – this is not a full list of all supported functions. There is also Bluetooth, FM-radio, video and audio recording, e-book reading, VoIP and GPS. It sounds not bad…
